Installation Tips
-
Clean the Mounting Surface: Remove all old gasket material and debris from the fuel pump boss before installing the new gasket—any contamination can cause leaks.
-
Check for Pushrod Clearance: If your engine still has the factory fuel pump pushrod installed, remove it before installing the block-off to prevent internal contact.
-
Torque to Spec: Tighten the mounting bolts in a crisscross pattern to factory torque spec to ensure an even seal.
-
Seal the Pushrod Tube: If you're blocking off a pump location that had a pushrod tube running to the cam, ensure the tube is properly sealed inside the case to prevent oil leaks.
