Genuine Bosch distributor cap for VW Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 (1965-1968). The cap distributes spark from the coil to each cylinder via the rotor — cracks, carbon tracking, or burned terminals on an old cap will cause misfires and crossfire. Standard tune-up wear item.
