Tow Bar, Sedan / Buggy, for 2" Narrow Beam

The EMPI 2" Narrowed Beam Tow Bar is the specialized version of the standard Type 1 tow bar, engineered specifically for cars running a narrowed front end. Built from the same heavy-wall steel as the original, this version features adjusted geometry to clamp securely onto the lower tube of an EMPI or custom 2" narrowed beam.

Equipped with a 2" ball receiver, this bar is the professional choice for moving narrowed-beam Beetles, Ghias, or tube-chassis buggies that cannot fit into a standard width tow bar. It provides reliable, straight-line tracking and is designed for a quick-release setup, making it ideal for transport between the shop and the track.

Key Specifications:

• Compatibility: Designed specifically for 2" narrowed beams (often fits up to 4" narrowed).

• Fitment: Clamps to the lower beam tube on King pin, Link pin, or Ball Joint front ends.

• Beam Spread: Inner dimensions of U-channels measure approximately 23-1/4".

• Dimensions: Overall length of 48" with an overall width of 26-3/4".

• Construction: All heavy-duty reinforced steel with a 2" ball hitch coupler.
