The EMPI Dual Bypass Adapter is the perfect solution for builders who want the best of both worlds: maintaining the reliability of the stock OEM German oil cooler while adding the massive cooling capacity of an external cooler or the convenience of a remote oil filter. This adapter essentially "splits" the oil flow, allowing you to run a secondary cooling loop without sacrificing the original factory setup.

Designed specifically for Type 1 engines, this kit requires only minimal trimming of the cylinder sheet metal for a clean fit. Please note that this unit is designed for use with early-style upright coolers and is not compatible with 'Dog House' style fan shrouds/coolers. It is an ideal upgrade for performance street builds where consistent oil temperature is a priority.
