Two product families
Standard (cast) sets — stock-replacement and big-bore street builds, 77mm–94mm bore. Excellent value for daily-driver and mild performance rebuilds.
Mahle Forged sets — forged pistons with extra-thick cylinders for superior strength; designed to perform even with turbocharged and nitrous applications. The premium choice for high-horsepower builds. Tip: best used with poly piston-pin retainer buttons.
Air-cooled VW Type 1 engine — Beetle, Bus (Type 1 engine), Karmann Ghia, Type 3, Thing, Buggy/Baja, and Type 1–based performance engines. Some big-bore and thick-wall sets require the case and/or heads to be machined — see the selected variant. Always confirm your case/head machining and deck height before ordering.
