EMPI sand seal crank pulleys for air-cooled VW Type 1 engines. A sand seal keeps dirt and debris out of the crankcase at the crank snout — essential for off-road, Baja, sand rail and dusty-environment builds, and popular on street performance engines too.

  • Stock Size, Bolt-In (00-8688-0) — aluminum collar & orange seal
  • Machine-In (00-8696-0) — green seal, requires machining
  • Polished Power Pulley w/ Holes, Machine-In (00-8699-0) — green seal

Bolt-in versions install with no machining; machine-in versions require the case/pulley to be cut for the seal. All fit air-cooled VW Type 1 engines.
