Washburn's Forward Flush Tunnel Cover Kit — VW Type 1 Weld-In Clutch Cable Access
The Washburn's Forward Flush Tunnel Cover Kit gives you clean, flush access to the clutch cable tube through the tunnel floor of your VW Type 1 chassis — so replacing a clutch cable no longer means contorting around a sealed stock pan. It is laser-cut steel with weld-in installation, designed and made in-house at Washburn's Metal in Orange, CA.
On a stock pan the clutch cable tube is buried, making it one of the most cursed jobs on an aircooled build. This kit lets you cut a clean opening, weld in a threaded frame, and bolt on a flush cover you can remove anytime. Future cable swaps take minutes, and the flush profile keeps the tunnel floor clean for carpet or a flat interior.
