Washburn's Metal is not a quick-flip restoration shop. We take our time, document everything, and build cars we're proud to have our name on. That means we need people who bring the same standard — not just the technical skill, but the temperament to do careful work without cutting corners.
We're small by design. Every job that leaves the shop reflects on everyone here. That means the crew is trusted, well-equipped, and working on interesting cars.
What we look for
- Hands-on metalworking, welding, or chassis-restoration experience — your own projects count
- Attention to gaps, alignment, and finish quality. We notice, and so do you
- Air-cooled VW or classic Porsche familiarity is a plus — not a hard requirement. We'll teach the right person
- Show up, communicate, and deliver on what you said you would. That's the whole list
- Comfortable working from written scopes and photo documentation standards
