When you order a part from us, this is where it's coming from. Not a warehouse, not a drop-shipper — a working metal shop in Orange, California, where the same hands that wrap your order also weld up frame heads, shape body panels, and turn out the parts we make ourselves.
What's Here
The Fabrication Bay
The back of the shop is where the metalwork happens. Two metal brakes, a shrinker-stretcher, a planishing hammer, and a TIG setup that we use for everything from chassis repair to one-off brackets. This is where the Washburn Originals get made — tunnel access plates, frame head repair sections, and the access panels you see on our YouTube videos.
The Chassis Bay
Two lifts and a rotisserie. This is where the customer builds happen — pan-off restorations, shortened-pan buggy work, and full chassis rebuilds. If you've got a project in here, you're welcome to come by and check on progress; we'd rather you saw it in person than just got photos.
The Parts Floor
Most of the Washburn's Original catalog lives here, on shelves we built ourselves out of the same square tube we use for chassis bracing. Everything you can order online is in this room, and most of it ships the same day it's ordered. If you're local, you can also pick up in person — just call ahead so we can pull the parts before you get here.
The Front Office
Where the phones get answered, the orders get packed, and the coffee gets drunk. Walk-ins are welcome during shop hours. If you've got a part on your bench at home and you're trying to figure out whether to order new or rebuild what you have, bring it in — we'd rather take a look than guess over email.
How We Work
Parts orders ship the same day if they're in by 2pm Pacific. Anything that needs fabrication — custom brackets, one-off panels, frame head sections cut to fit — we'll quote a turnaround when you call. Restoration and build projects we schedule months in advance so we can give each one the time it deserves; we don't take on more than the shop can finish properly.
Everything we sell is something we'd use on a build in our own shop. If we don't trust it, we don't carry it — and if we've had a bad experience with a brand, we'll tell you. That's the whole deal.
Come by the Shop
If you're in the area or passing through Southern California, swing by. Walk-ins welcome during hours; appointments are a good idea if you want to talk through a build.
