EMPI Front Spindle Hex Nut, Left-Hand Thread — Front Wheel Bearing Retainer | Porsche 356/A/B/C 1950-1965 (98-4051-B)

Every time you brake hard, the load wants to spin the driver-side spindle nut loose, and a nut that walks lets the outer bearing float. That is why the left-front is cut with a left-hand thread: this hex nut clamps the outer wheel bearing and holds the brake drum true on a king-and-link-pin beam, tightening against the very rotation that would loosen an ordinary thread.
