1835cc is the most popular displacement bump for a Type 1, and this is EMPI's thick-wall machine-in version (98-1958-B) — 92mm cylinders with extra wall material for more strength and cooling surface than a standard 92mm slip-in set. The hypereutectic high-silicon-alloy pistons run with minimal expansion for long service life. This is a machine-in set: your case and heads must be cut for 94mm to clear the thicker cylinders.
